Wrestling to me is one of the only sports that can teach discipline, self respect, hard work ethic and focus like none other. With how society is going and how everyone seeks instant gratification wrestling will teach one that if you put the work in you will get the results. Nothing comes over night. The microwave mentality where everything needs to be instant is furthest from the truth in Wrestling. In life, whether we choose to believe it or not we are alone, just like on a wrestling match. If you don't do everything you need to be successful in life and on that mat you might as well turn in your wrestling shoes and headgear. Man and a woman must always find a drive to be their best and as a wrestler you learn this through your career. I choose wrestling because it has taught me to take control of my life circumstances and through coaching wrestling I hope every wrestler I come across can learn these simple life lessons.
